A Minute of Inspiration: The 30 Day Challenge, You Game?
I'm all about the TED talks this week! I was really inspired when I watched this quick, 3 minute talk given by Matt Cutts, the head of Google's Webspam team. He encourages you to try something new, something you've always wanted to do, for 30 days. A 30 Day Challenge! Who doesn't love a challenge? Today is September 30th, and I thought today would be the perfect day to post this considering tomorrow is the 1st. I'm still thinking about what I'm going to try for 30 days...what are you going to try? Like Matt says, "What are you waiting for?!?"

A Minute of Inspiration: Shake that Negative Energy
Let's face it, we all have a bad day here and there. It's easy to spiral down that dark, murky hole of negativity- and having to gather the energy to claw your way back up out of it without taking a couple of casual bystanders down with you can take a little motivation. Here are some websites that I like to read when I loose my footing:
and
this article on Pick The Brain
When all else fails...I read this, Fail Blog, or watch this video below and it makes me remember that really, when all is said and done...most of the stuff we stress and worry about just isn't that serious.

Everybody Wants to Rule the World
Welcome to your life
There's no turning back
Even while we sleep
We will find you
Acting on your best behaviour
Turn your back on mother nature
Everybody wants to rule the world
It's my own design
It's my own remorse
Help me to decide
Help me make the most of freedom and of pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world
There's a room where the light won't find you
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down
When they do I'll be right behind you
So glad we've almost made it
So sad they had to fade it
Everybody wants to rule the world
I can't stand this indecision
Married with a lack of vision
Everybody wants to rule the world
Say that you'll never never never never need it
One headline why believe it ?
Everybody wants to rule the world
All for freedom and for pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world

Tell Me How To Get Over You, My Dear
Dedicated to my Ladies,
and my Gentleman.
Because we've all been here.
Had our hearts bleed here.
Know the kind of pain that lives here.
And never want to return here.

Good To Know
"We have all heard that money is the root of all evil.
The actual translation from the original text is “the worship of money is the root of all evil”.
That’s a big difference."

Slow Mo
When I originally clicked on this video from the Slow Mo Guys via a Tweet from The Huffington Post I saw that it was about 5 minutes long and didn't think I would make it through to see the end. Three fourths of the way my attention was lost, but I did feel that I needed a pay off for the time I had already invested. It was worth it. Watch this vid, or at least skip ahead to the 4 minute mark.
The way the water splits the balloon and the shapes it makes as it's released is magical to watch in slow motion.
Here is a screen shot of the best part, it's worth watching in video if you have the time.

The Beautiful Kind of Radiation
The Aurora from Terje Sorgjerd on Vimeo.
"Auroras are created by radiation coming from the sun and hitting Earth's magnetic field. As the solar wind hits the Earth's atmosphere, ionized nitrogen atoms regain and electron and oxygen and nitrogen atoms from excited to ground state. They produce photons during that process, with the oxygen emitting green or brownish-red and the nitrogen producing blue—gaining electrons—or red—going to ground state." (via Gizmodo.com )

In The Production Office
Working in the world of Digital Media is so very exciting. As most of you already know, people are quickly shifting their time and attention from traditional media (Television and Print) to Digital Media. It's interactive, convenient, and fits into our busy lives and complicated schedules. Webisodes are taking over regular network TV programming. With webisodes, we have a wider variety of programming to choose from, and a lot of it is independent...meaning it's content is not dictated by a larger corporate network.
I started following @Slebisodes on Twitter which brought me to their blog www.slebisodes.com which then took me to list of the top Web Series from Kellie Ann Benz. From there I made two fascinating discoveries.
The first, my friend Tony Styles is one of the characters on Jon Chu's The LXD. Now I knew he was an incredibly talented dancer, and I knew he moved to LA, but I didn't know he was doing big things like this! :)
The second discovery is a Web Series called "In The Production Office." I think it's absolutely hilarious and feel that a lot of girls can relate to the woes of Coco and Myra...which is a good thing for them since according to the Nielsen ratings, woman between the ages of 25-34 are leading the trend of switching from the TV to the computer.
Please enjoy Tony, Coco and Myra below.

Ping Pong Showdown
With an hour left til 6p on a Friday afternoon, the talented Geoffrey Stebbins grabbed a camera and directed this digital short. Working at a production company definitely has it's perks. Being surrounded by such talented and creative people is probably number one for me on that list.
