Cabo San Lucas Day02

The place to stay in Cabo is The Melia. The pool and beach area of the hotel, otherwise known as Nikki Beach, goes off during the day and at night. Live performances, cabanas, a swim up bar ( ask for Isreal have him make you a strawberry margarita, and when he comes from behind the bar, have him dance, this boy can break it down ) and delicious food make the day relaxing and dream like under the hot sun and deep blue sky. Passions is the lounge located in the Melia, we did not check this out, but I hear it's on the same par as the hotel.

That night, we were fortunate enough to have run into some friends who introduced us to Antares, aka DJ Antares, a popular DJ/Promoter based in Cabo. He took us on the grand tour of downtown Cabo. We went to dinner at Restaurante Mariscos (? I think this was the name, it's a popular restaurant with the locals ), fresh and delicious seafood, and the price was just right. I heard that The Trailer Park is another great restaurant. From there we hit up a bunch of the popular bars downtown, everything is within walking distance. The Zoo had great hip hop, Cabo Wabo was super touristy, smelled like raw sewage, but had a live rock band, Barometro is a nice lounge right in the Marina, Squid Roe was an outside mezzanine/restaurant turned crazy spring break type club, and my favorite was Mandala, a super swanky lounge with a dance floor in the middle. Wide flat screens play music videos everywhere you turn, tons of seating and the music was the perfect blend of hip hop, house and old skool 90's jams.
